Bolt
Bolt is the high-speed camera robot developed by Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC). It can move from standstill to high-speed motion and back again in fractions of a second. With the Bolt arm, the camera can literally follow falling objects and capture images that would be impossible by hand or any other method.
What is Bolt Camera Robot used for?
The bolt high-speed camera robot is the fastest of its kind – capturing images in crisp focus that would be impossible by hand or any other method. The bolt adds an entirely new perspective to filming – whether shooting commercials, tabletop work, film or television.
The Bolt is a repurposed robotic arm that is typically used in automobile manufacturing but has been modified to hold and move a camera at high speed with frame-accurate precision.
Bolt accelerates to its maximum velocity almost instantly, so even 1000 fps + shots come alive with motion. It can be driven by the software with absolute precision and the ability to drive multiple motion control units, triggering devices, DMX lighting, etc. Bolt can be used in studio or on location with a customized base, delivering the creative tools where you need to be.
